Polarimeter
Suitable for determining specific rotation of optically active substances. It has Laurents quartz half shade device which make the system sufficiently accurate and at the same time simple, suitable for use with sodium light. The circular head is attached to the analyzer. Vernier movable over the scale enables reading 0-360° or 0-180°. A 200 mm tube is provided with the instrument. Mounted on a sturdy tripod stand.

Polarising Filter Stress Determination
Demonstrate stress patterns in solids with this new and valuable equipment. Two polarising filters, mounted on a graduated frame are placed on a plastic base. Clear acrylic pieces of different shapes are introduced between the filters; when pressure is applied to the solids the resulting stress patterns are observed.
